In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology, the types ofnetwork service and traffic are becoming more and more diversified and the networkbandwidth capacity requirement is expanding fast. The widely application of new networkapplications, including video calls, conference calls, VOIP, makes the Quality of Servicedemand is higher and higher. How to guarantee quality of service for these new servicesobtains more and more people’s attention, and with its’ diversification, traditional networkarchitecture exposes more and more problems, such as complicated network structure andsaturated network equipment performance, make the generalization of the new networkapplication more hard, and already can’t meet the needs of all kinds of services quality. Asa result, a revolution of a new network architecture gains more attention, SDN,programmable network architecture, arises at the historic moment. SDN can meet thedemand of today’s network development, and fundamentally solve the above problems.OpenFlow is the product of SDN, and it is a new kind of network exchange model,this model using the open flow table to realize the programmable control of network dataprocessing for users.In this paper, the present situation of OpenFlow networks technology and the newrequirements are discussed, and the related technologies are briefly introduced. For thelacks of QoS control in OpenFlow networks, and considering the network developmentand operators’ demands of QoS, designed a QoS management system based on OpenFlownetworks, and described the realization of the function and the architecture of managementsystem in detail. and then, according to the predetermined design scheme, implemented themanagement system, through constructing small network topology to test its function, andanalyzed the data of the test results, verified the management system’s QoS managementfunctions in the OpenFlow networks. Finally, the main work of this paper is summarized,the next direction of research about this paper is proposed.
