With the development of new types of services such as VoIP and telephone video,the traditional Internet architecture carries a growing number of business services which are also increasingly complex.To meet the new quality of service requirements brought by new business services,such as the low latency required for online games,the existing solution is to perform the function-based patching repair under the traditional network architecture,which will cause an increase in the network structure redundancy and the cost of management and maintenance.A new generation of network architecture,Software Defined Network(SDN),which separates control and forwarding,provides a new solution.In order to apply the QoS assurance technology under the traditional network architecture to the SDN network environment reasonably,related backgrounds and technologies such as SDN and OpenFlow are studied,and then the extensible SDN controller Floodlight and the development method of the network application based on Floodlight are studied.The thesis also researched and introduced the QoS assurance technology,which has been widely used currently.Based on the above research results,a service policy management system based on SDN is designed and implemented.Through this system,the network administrator can monitor the current network status in real time.Based on this,combined with actual business requirements,the network administrator can configure queue-based or type-based service policies through Web pages or command line tools,which helps reduce the workload of underlying switching and improve the quality of service and stability of the network.The service policy based on the type learns from the idea of Differentiated Services(DiffServ).The system development process from requirements analysis,overall design to detailed design and implementation of sub-modules is described in detail.The detailed design part is described from the control plane,the forwarding plane and the configuration plane.The specific implementation part selects five main functional modules for detailed description,which are respectively service type configuration module,queue configuration module,policy-matching module,policy configuration module,and network monitor module.Then,based on the simulation network,a simple system function test was performed.Finally,based on completion of the system,this thesis summarizes and prospects the results of the current stage.
