With the development of communication, the number of communicationbase stations increases rapidly, the base station energy consumption is large, andthe artificial maintenance cost is high. In order to maintain the normal operationof electronic equipment in the base station, to reduce the base station energyconsumption, to cut down the cost of base station power consumption andartificial maintenace, this article developed a high-performance communicationbase station energy-conservation control system. The system has the followingthree functions: first, the function of environment monitoring and control, mainlyto control the temperature and humidity to protect the normal operation ofelectronic equipment of the base station; Second, the function of remotecommunication, to achieve the real-time monitoring of the base stationenvironment and to detect the high temperature alarm and low temperature alarmof the the base station, and save the cost of manual inspection at the same time;Thirdly, the function of data storage, to storage the environmental parameters andthe system state data for providing the basis to future statistical analysis forimproving the environmental control system. The main research work is asfollows:Determination of the overall system program: the core of system is thehigh-performance microcontroller STM32F107which core is ARM Cortex-M3,use fuzzy control algorithm, use the fan, air conditioning and electric heater toregulate the base station environment together, use RS-232, Ethernet as systemcommunication interface, use the SD card as the storage interface of the systemdata.Design of system hardware circuit: component selection, Design of themeasurement and control circuit, Design of the interface circuit, Design of thePCB board. Design of the system driver: design of the temperature and humiditymeasurement program, design of fuzzy control algorithm program, design ofsystem interface driver, design of the keyboard display program.After the completion of the system development work, in order to test theperformance and energy efficiency of the system, the system local measurementand control module test experiment have been made in Suihua and Baoshan basestation of Heilongjiang Telecom. The system be installed in Baoshan base station,the system did not be installed in Xinhua base station. The experimental resultsshowed that the installation of this system can be improved the stability of theenvironment of the communication station, to maintain stable operation ofvarious electronic devices in the base station, and can save the overall powerconsumption of base station more than26%.
