Design And Implementation Of Ruian Co.Cost Information Management System

With the company’s production types enlarging and business expansion, traditional cost management methods can not adapt to the competition strategy. Based on matured cost management theory and combining with the company’s business characters and products features, RuiAn Co. decides to develop a new cost information management system, which conducts information collection, computation, processing and analysis of the company’s cost information.This system emphasizes on solving the following problems. First, combining with the company’s internal business information system, it collects and manages the key cost data, and realizes basic management function for cost calculation. Secondly, based on cost accounting basic theory and actual production situation, it realizes a cost computation quantitative processing method with production activity as its kernel. This method is required to cover the company’s direct cost computation and indirect cost distribution processing. Thirdly, on the basis of above functions, it realizes an array of advanced cost information management functions, such as products price and profit ability estimating functions, which provides decision-support cost information for senior management. The fourth is some other support functions for cost information. This paper gives detailed demand analysis for the above developing goal, especially discusses the cost basic information management function, varied cost computing and processing functions, and also gives user cases. On the basis of demand analysis, it further discusses the software’s outlined design scenarios, database system design, cost computing and processing flow, and basic module interfaces, etc. After system design, it finishes main modules’programming and testing in the end.The software environment of RuiAn Co.’s cost management information system is Microsoft’s.NET platform, with database server SQL Server2008and IIS Web as its main server. The system runs stable now, with positive user feedback, and reaches the project’s requirement for most of its functions.
