With the development of digital campus construction，office automation(OA)system which based on campus network is gradually applied in all kinds of managementwork in the departments of colleges and universities, independent college managementwork is gradually moving in the direction of network, automation and information. OAhas become one of the most important contents of the college management and OAShas been gradually used in the college office management. It takes many years forSichuan Normal University Chengdu College change management style from thetraditional manual mode to the development of semi manual mode, and then to OA. Thecollege is becoming larger and larger, the number of staff is also more and more, semimanual management mode can’t meet the current office requirements, and not make fulluse of the present mature campus network. The purpose of this paper is to solvethe problems existing in current office management system, implement the campusinformatization and office automation, develop and design office automation systembased on WEB.By using this system, the office administrators can complete the office issues suchas notification release, document reception, mail management and publicaffairs management, bus application, conference room application, personal documentmanagement. Leaders can inform approval, send correspondence, audit documents, andmanage mail. The faculty can receive notification, view the document, manage mail andpersonal document, query mail list, and so on.This paper introduces the OAS development process of Sichuan Normal UniversityChengdu College. After finishing demand investigation and analysis, understand thebusiness process of this topic firstly, and then combine the requirementsand construction trends of current college management technique, analysis the existingoffice management problems, according to user requirements and using the three designmethods as structured, modular and top-down, complete needs analysis, system designand database structure design of the new system. Relying on the existingcampus network, complete the development, operation and test of this OAS by using thebrowser/server structure mode and Microsoft’s Windows Server2003operating system,This thesis choose IIS6.0as Internet information server, Dreamweaver as the system developing platform, SQL Server2005as the background database management system,and ASP Technology which takes VBScript as development language. The new systemhas the features of easy operation, easy maintenance, safety etc. After tested,each function module developed can be operated normally, and can meetthe requirements of the office automation system of College, it brings convenience tothe office management staff of the college.
