Energy saving and consumption reduction is an important strategy for sustainable development of our society. Energy saving monitoring is an important constituent part of it, and is an indispensable technical measure for management of energy saving. In recent years, the country has devoted major efforts to promoting large-scale energy saving monitoring projects for public buildings and improving the supervision system for energy saving of public buildings. Meanwhile, ministries and commissions including Ministry of Education and Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, etc. have promoted energy saving monitoring management of campuses jointly. To implement energy saving, vigorously strengthen the construction of "energy-saving" campus, will have to become one of the focus of the school’s future work. So it is very important to research and development an energy saving supervision system for green campuses.In this article, firstly the development background and current development technology of energy saving supervision system for green campuses are introduced in detail. Then the overall design scheme and construction model are proposed on the basis of domestic requirement from campus market. The system is capable of realizing automatic data reading for water, electricity and heat, constructing application platform for energy data, realizing basic applications including comprehensive analysis and management of energy data, monitoring and analysis of device status, making full use of data on the basis of realizing reliability, stability and practicality of system to realize energy saving instruction and instruction towards device retrofitting.Finally, the difficulties found and the relevant solutions adopted in practical application of energy saving supervision system for green campuses are analyzed.
