This project developed an batching monitoring system for modern large-scalefoundry based on profibus-dp and zigbee wireless network technology, it caneffectively monitor and control all kinds of equipment running status and maintechnical data in the process of burdening. By adding infrared rays distance measurenode, it can detect obstacles in the running path of travelling crane in real time andavoiding the barriers effectively. As a result, it improved automatic and informationmanagement of batching monitoring system as well as enhanced the system’s security.This project used turing control configuration software, step7programmingsoftware, delphi7and excel calculation template as its software development platform.Used zigbee wireless network and profibus-dp to form its network. Adopted actuatorsand encoders as profibus-dp’s node, its master node together with zigbee module wereconnected through the rs232interface and the whole formed one zigbee node. As thedata transmission platform, the master node of zigbee wireless network was connectedwith the computer.This project developed a kind of batching calculation template based on excel.The computer used the template and the burdening information which inputted by theworkers to calculate the weight of every material, then the computer can generate theburdening sheet automatically. According to the burdening sheet, computer canmonitor and manage the process of burdening. Finally, it realized a fully automatedburdening process.This paper provided detailed information on the automatic batching monitoringsystem. First, it gived the hardware circuit design of zigbee wireless network,discussed the selection of laser rangefinder and its ranging principle in details.Second, it accomplished the hardware configuration and programming of profibus-dpin step7. And then designed a loop of communication message and the data readerbetween master station and slave station on the basic of data communicationprinciples and message format. Third, it introduced the sending and receiving processof nodes in zigbee network. Software flow chart of master node and terminal nodewere presented. Data receiving and sending flow chart of serial interfaces were given.Finally, the paper designed serial communication protocol and wirelesscommunication protocol of serial port in detail. In the end of the paper, monitoring interface based on turning controlconfiguration software was given.
