Mobile Context-based Notes Application Design Research

With the further development of the new technology, the knowledge economy hasgradually become the dominant form of in the structure of economic system,knowledge has become the most important factor of production. With the advent ofmobile learning and autonomous learning methods gradually become means ofgrowing their own capacity. Notes as one of the learning strategies, is getting moreand more attention of learners, user experience of notes with the requirements oflearning anywhere and anytime, is transferring from traditional desktop equipment tothe mobile device. Notes is playing a more and more important role in the daily life,user requires notes application more and more strongly in this context.With the continuous process of smart device, more and more information can becollected for the user. Large amounts of data from environment, users andapplications make the context based design develope into a new stage. Userexperience design and interaction design have become the center of attention. How toprovide appropriate, efficient and good service to user is the most important issue fordesigners, this is also exactly the main content of the research in this paper.The cornerstone of this research is interaction design practice based on Android4.0. This paper focuses on the interaction design of notes from the perspective ofmobile context. Firstly, starting from the basic knowledge of notes, it done theresearch about the relationship of notes and information processing, and make clearthat the notes form mobile device as well as the notes from3rd party will both haveadvantages and disadvantages. Through the deep exploration of mobile context inboth design method and context information classification, the characteristics ofmobile context is analyzed, and then the process of context based design methods areproposed. The Android4.0notes was taken as the carrier and the application of theresearch in this paper, it illustrated the design process from the user research form theinterview in the context. At the meanwhile, based on the result of interview, the newdirections and new interactive ways of notes under mobile context characteristics arealso explored, and the design solution is also created.The main innovation points of this paper are as following: From the analysis ofmobile context characteristics, it purpose the design strategy and design method forthe application design. Research in this paper can be a refer ence for the further development in notes applications, and the methodologies used in user research andcorresponding design strategy and tools can also be a reference for the other mobileapplications.
