The Modern wars dependent on the complex and expensive new weapons andequipment increasingly. The repeated training is required in order to form fightingcapacity. This paper, which focuses on the launch and guidance system of a cannon,designs and implements a hardware in the loop (HIL) simulation platform for teachingand training, using the HIL simulation technology, the wireless communicationtechnology and the three-dimension simulation technology.First of all, a simulation platform solution is made. After researching of thelaunch and guidance system, specially the operation and use of methods, this paperanalyzes the general structure of the simulation platform. A simulated console and thehardware circuit of the control system are designed, as well as the control softwarepursuant to the process.In the area of the wireless communications, the principle, the reliabilitytechnologies and the architecture of the system are studied. The wirelesscommunication modules, the wireless interface module and the software are designedto achieve information connection between the control system and the simulationsystem, so as to process wireless data communication reliably.In the three-dimension simulation, this paper formulates a simply systemsimulation model, and the development process of the visual simulation system bymeans of the software Virtools is studied. The HIL simulation interface is developed tocomplete serial communication between the wireless interface module and thesimulation system. The motion control in the simulation system is carried out, and theaccessibility features are built, such as collision detection and messages.This paper succeeds in achieving the signals collection, wireless communicationand motion control of the simulation platform. By using this platform for teaching andtraining, users can get the real sense of action, understand and master the use of thelaunch and guidance system. This paper puts the HIL simulation technology into thefield of education and training, which is to develop teaching methods, and has a goodreference to the similar systems.
