| With the rapid development of the earth observation technology and computer networktechnology, the way of spatial information acquisition is more and more diverse, however, toquickly extract the required information resources from the mass spatial information and obtainhigh quality spatial information services is relatively difficult. Giving the semantics to the spatialinformation and spatial information services, they can be understood and identified by computers,realizing accurate matching and finding out the required information and services, it isadvantageous to the spatial information sharing. However, the semantics of spatial informationexpression also has some shortcomings, in order to improve and in-depth study the semanticexpression mechanism of the spatial information service, and enable the spatial information andspatial information service with semantics, this paper carried out relevant research.This paper starts from the lack of spatial information services, seeking the solution withsemantics. Based on analysizing the existing research results on the semantic services, it proposesthat expressing the semantics of spatial information and spatial information services respectivelyfrom the conceptual level and application level using the OWL and OWL-S. The main researchcontents are as follows:First of all, the paper introduces the geographic ontology to describe the concepts andrelations between concepts of spatial information, to solve the semantic expression at theconceptual level of spatial information. Using UML modeling tool to create geographic ontologyand use the web ontology language OWL to represent the geographic ontology model formally.Secondly, using the established geographic ontology model to creat the instance ofgeographic ontology, and storing the instance by open source database MySQL.To prove that theestablished geographic ontology model in this paper may express the concept of spatialinformation well by experiment.Finally, it creats the spatial information services ontology, using OWL-S to express thesemantics of the spatial information services from three aspects: service profile semantics,serviceprocess semantics and service grounding semantics through a spatial information servicesinstance.Designing and developing a service calling test program based on this serviceinstance.Verifying that using the semantic expression mechanism of spatial information servicesmay realize automatic recognition of computers by experiment, and it provides reference to thesemantic sharing and interoperability of spatial information.Research shows that using OWL and OWL-S to express the semantics of spatial informationservices can be understood, identified and executed the calling by computers. It provides somereference for realizing the intelligent of spatial information services. |
