Research On Web Services Management Framework Based On Ontology And PSMs

Web services have become the development trend of distributed web computation. However, current web services technology only focuses on the data type of input and output as well as access details. It can not support the automatic discovery, invokation and composition of web services because of the lack of semantic description. Therefore, it has become a hotspot to describe web services using semantic web. This paper proposes a semantic model based on ontology and PSMs, which implements the semantic description of web services. Moreover, a semantic web services management framework is designed and implemented for management, discovery, invokation and composition of web services.Firstly, this paper summarizes the weaknesses of current web services technology and analyzes the contributions to web services made by ontolgy and PSMs. It also sums up the domestic and foreign research situation of semantic web services at present.Secondly, this paper does research on some critical technology of semantic web, ontology and PSMs as well as analyzes the weaknesses of current semantic web services technology.Thirdly, this paper proposes a semantic model of web services based on ontology and PSMs, and provides formal descriptions and samples for each part of the model. This model is divided into static one and dynamic one, which describe the static and dynamic information of web services.Lastly, this paper designs and implements a web service management framework based on the semantic model. It models the execution semantics and static designs by UML.
