The application of computer flat knitting machine is used more and more widely due toits high degree of automation, precision and easy to operation in the market. It can weave outthe assemblies according to people’s will, in the meantime, the weaving files can be modifiedin the weaving processing at any time and the knitting action can be adjusted. It’s expectedthat the knit and wear weaving technology will gradually improve and popularize in the futureand replace the hand flat knitting machine fully.This paper put forward a control system based on the ARM-DSP-DSP after analyzingthe the mechanical mechanism and control structure of the computer flat knitting machine inthe background of electronic technology developing rapidly. The processor of this system ismore advanced, real-time, stronger, higher precision, and more stable.The control system is divided into two parts: hardware and software. In the hardware, theupper machine adopts the ARM S3C2440produced by Samsung company as its mainprocessor to realize the human-machine interaction function, adopts TI company’s TMS320F2812DSP chip as the main control layer and control layer of the processor to control doubleservo system and the roller machine, degrees of visual motor, electromagnet, solenoids andimplement knitting action, at the same time, the woven situation signal will be sent to uppermachine in operating interface display in real time. Three layer division and task shunt willreduce the chip information and chip connections between lines, take full use of the ARMchip transplant operation advantages, make the system processing speed and accuracy moreaccurate.In software aspects, some control module to control software are designed and analyzedfor the hardware design aforementioned, mainly including the system initialization, overalldesign, each in three layers design and each layer of the main functional modules design.Double servo control system, real-time field oriented vector control algorithm are adopted toincrease real-time of the system in the master control layer, CPLD collaborative control isused in head control layer, which expand the I/O port, realize the solenoids and electromagnetcontrol, reduce the burden of DSP, shorten the development time. The whole system is moremodular and real-time stronger, the code structure is more clear.The flat knitting machine’s main processor based on DSP and CPLD has strongerinformation processing abilities than the single chip microcomputer as the core control system.And the interaction of signal between it and the upper machine is faster and higher precision. Because of the higher DSP chip internal integration, the control for motor control, sensorsignal receiving is easier to be implemented. CPLD’s available interface is numerous, whichis a good extension for DSP control. As the whole system is based on Linux operating system,it costs low, source program is open, transplantation is convenient and is efficient and vivid.The domestic computer flat knitting machine control function will have certain practicaldevelopment with the high price of the control system.
