The transistor RF laser power is the preferred power source for small and mediumpower RF slab laser with low operating voltage, small size, high efficiency, long life andother advantages. The high-power transistor is selected as the main amplifier tube of theRF power, which can be effective in reducing the number of amplifier modules, makingthe power structure more compacted and improving its reliability. In this thesis, theprinciple and structure of the RF laser power have been analyzed, and the simulationdesign of its main amplifier circuits have been carried out. At last, the RF laser powerexperiments have been accomplished with the load. The main contents are as following:(1) According to the requirements of the RF-excited CO2slab laser, the transistorlaser power has been chosen as the research and design object by analyzing and discussingthe advantages and disadvantages of the vacuum tube power and transistor power. Thestructure and main technical parameters of a RF laser power supply system are designed.(2) The preceding stage excitation module has been designed in the thesis, mainlyincluding a crystal oscillator which could generate a weak fixed-frequency RF signal, a100mW amplifier circuit, a5W amplifier circuit, a300W amplifier circuit and a powerdistribution circuit. Each amplifier circuit has been designed through the softwaremultisim.(3) The final-stage amplifier and synthesizer of the8kW amplifier module have beendesigned. The8kW amplifier module consists of eight final stage amplifiers which choosethe high power LDMOS transistor and a final stage synthesizer. The simulation design ofthe final stage amplifier circuit has been carried out by the ADS (Advanced DesignSystem) software.(4) The study on the power experiments has been carried out. Through the loadexperiments with dummy load and the laser load respectively, the power outputcharacteristics are researched.
