The final assembly for the products in the industries such as automobile, constructionmachinery and equipment manufacturing, is a complex engineering involves numerousfactors like personnel, equipment, material, method and environment. In the digital executionand monitoring for assembly, it faces many requirements and challenges. The informationcollection is consuming time and lagging. It needs more exact and timely monitoring. Withthe development of the Internet of Things, the advanced digital technology like wirelesssensor networks realizes the ubiquitous connections between object and human and Providesa new solution way for the intelligentize manufacturing execution.For the problems and requirements in the assembly process, this paper does the researchon the key technology of wireless sensor networks for the application in the assemblyworkshop in the basis of the characteristics of wireless sensor networks. The main research isas below:It summarizes the characteristics of the assembly workshop and analyses the applicationrequirement in the aspects of the production process dynamic perception, the equipmentresource real-time monitoring and the logistics procedure lean management and studies theusability of wireless sensor networks. At last, it brings the key technology for the applicationof wireless sensor networks from the aspects of route design, data collection, closed-loopmonitoring.Facing the complex application environment in the assembly workshop, this paper putsforward the improved routing algorithm on the basis of LEACH. The simulation shows thatthe improved route algorithm has the better energy balanced performance, which lengthensthe network life cycle.Facing the application requirement for getting the state real-time information in theassembly workshop accurately, this paper designs the data collection system combined with the existing network in the company and realizes the system from aspects of node’s hardware,node’s software and system platform. The system realizes the real-time comprehensiveperception for the states in the workshop and has good flexibility and expansibility.Facing the application requirement for remote monitoring the equipment resource in theassembly workshop neatly, this paper takes the PLC as the example and designs theclosed-loop monitoring system combined with wireless sensor network. The system canrealize the ubiquitous closed-loop monitoring from the execution of control command to thegetting of state information. At last, it realizes the application targeting to the station materialdistribution.
