Research And Design Of Distribued Evaluation Framework For Usability Of Web Services

Web services are evolved from the traditional middleware technology, areself-describing, self-contained, open software modules available via a network, canbe a good support for web-based enterprise-level integration. Web services aim tobuild distributed applications, with compositing dynamically according to thedifferent business needs, is the most appropriate technology currently of buildingservice-oriented applications (SOA).In order to guarantee quality of web service-based distributed applications andbetter meet the needs of users, we must ensure usability a single web service. Fornow, on the one hand, because testing environment of web services and traditionalsoftware testing is different, the technology of traditional software testing can notmeet the evaluation criteria of web services; The other hand, existing web servicetesting tools are limited to local testing, and can not be distributed for testing webservices, so that study on the distributed evaluation framework for usability of webservice becomes very necessary.By studying the usability evaluation of the status of web services, inaccordance with ISO standard definition of usability, From the user’s perspective,this thesis establishes the indicators reflecting the usability of web services and ausability evaluation model. According to different user requirements on the usabilityof different models indicators, this thesis proposes a web service usabilityevaluation method with quantifing of indicators.Bassing on the usability evaluation model and usability evaluation method ofweb services, this thesis designs and implements a distributed evaluation frameworkfor usability of web service. User in dffenrent area can use the browser to loadevaluation framework client to complete testing and evaluation on usability of webservice.Finally, using the framework, the two web services are conducted evaluationexperiments, and the experimental data are analyzed. Experimental results show thatthe established evaluation framework has good versatility and a certain referencevalue.
