Design And Implementation Of Automated Testing Software Based On Android Smartphone

Since the mobile phone era begins, the tests for phone hardware performance are endless. Inrecent years, the rapid development of smart mobile devices attracts testers’ interests. As the mostpopular smart mobile popular system, Android has just appeared in2008. The open-source featurehelps adding so many functions and also causing test difficulties for the Android system. Thismakes the automatic test of mobile hardware performance as one of the hottest directions.As the Android smart phones’ service cycle becoming short, how to get tests data quickly andefficiently is most important. While manual tests can’t do well as before for their own reasons inscreen’s testing and keyboards’ testing. Here presents several technical schemes after comparingand analyzing various related automatic test cases. The main work of author can be summarized asfollows:(1) The background and significance of the study were provided, the situation of phoneautomation testing was summarized and the principle of automatic test was described.(2)The display effect of screen is the most intuitive standard to judge whether mobile phone isgood or not. Here focused on how to obtain the test data that is displayed on the screen, andproposed a technology to get testing data quickly—automatic screen technology. Then thistechnology’s advantage was validated at a device and analysised.(3) The technology of analog press keys was described. For the Android operating system’ snew versions lacking analog press keys function, a new method which applies to all versions ofAndroid OS was designed. Here it combined automatic analog press keys with automatic shotscreen technology for getting the test data. At last the feasibility of this method was verified on adevice.(4)Now the touch screen mobile is very popular. It is as important as display for mobile intests field and people’s lives. One technology—analog touch screen scheme to test the response ofscreen was put forward. Two functions were combined above with this technology to get dataautomatically for mobile phone tests. Then the author implemented this technology’s program in areal environment and validated its practicability.
