Android is a kind of linux kernel-based smart phone operating systems releasedby Google Inc on November5,2007.Android was developed first by Google and thenthe developer is Open Handset Alliance.It is a truly open platform for development andresearch of mobile phones that differentiate others and have been one of the mostpopular smart phone operating systems nowadays.Touch screen, as one of the most important modules apply to Android, hasdeveloped into many kinds in the family like resistive touch screen, capacitive touchscreen and infrared touch screen etc. Among these family products, resistive touchscreen features itself with three aspects: firstly, compared to others, resistive touchscreen reacts to any touch events triggered by any objects, so there is no need toconsider any special devices. secondly, resistive touch screen is more cleanly thanothers because of its totally capsuled working environment,so there is no need toconsider the pollution of dust, oil smear and water. thirdly, resistive touch screen reactsmore accurately than others, which is considered as an important criterion of judging theperformance of touch screen by the industry. Because the resistive touch screen featureswith so many advantageous,it will be still developed rapidly in china in the future, thereis necessary to make a deep research on the resistive touch screen.This thesis first introduces the characteristics of Android and touch panel modulesand study the situation at home and abroad, then build the hardware platform to run theAndroid system with touch panel module and the software environment created byUbuntu virtual box system plus debugging tools installed in the PC system. After thesehave been finished, a rapid android transplantation will be started following three stepsthat are Uboot, kernel,android.then the main flow chart will be designed referring tothe datasheet of the touch panel module and the hardware circuit based on therequirement. the driver code will be programmed to enable the resistive touch screenaccording to the flow chart. the last step will research and realize the calibration of the touch panel screen by means of real-time calibrating of x and y coordinate to make itmore precise.
