In the wave of media convergence, all aspects of the traditional publishing enterprisesvalue chain were influenced to varying degrees. It was difficult for a single linear valuechain model to meet the demand of readers for the number of access to information, breadth, speed and personalized services. The policy of transformation into enterprisesmade the press deeper blend in with a wider range of fierce market competition. Facingthe new technology background, the needs of readers need and policy condition, publishing enterprises need to form a new value chain value-added model. Not only didfederated media publishing propose update requests to the traditional publishing valuechain from the upstream, internal and the downstream three aspects, but it also providedthe new development concepts and practical approaches for the optimization andvalue-added of publishing enterprise value chain.Combining the classic value chain theory with the modern theory of value chain, three parts of publishing enterprise value activities were drawn: the upstream valueactivities, the internal value activities and the downstream value activities. Using analysisof the value chain, the new changes of the value chain were analyzed from the threeaspects of analysis of digital the times publishing. By exploring the adaptability ofvalue-added of the media value chain, the principle of publications suitable for thedevelopment of federated media was obtained. The value-added of the traditionalpublishing enterprises value chain caused by federated media publishing was exploredfrom the three parts. And the optimization design of the traditional publishing enterprisesvalue chain was proposed from federated media perspective. Taking the historical novel"Qin Empire" published by Henan literature and art press as an example, the federatedmedia value-added of that publication was analyzed from three parts.By the optimization design of publishing enterprise value chain from the perspectiveof federated media, copyright resources were developed from multiple dimensions, thesubsidiary copyright benefit increased, the publishing enterprise economies of scope wereexpanded, and thereby the competitiveness of enterprises was enhanced.
