Nowadays, academic conference is an important and common form to achieveacademic exchanges and cooperation. In the informationalized modern society, therequirements of business management quality and efficiency for conference organizers areincreasing. Therefore, how to rely on the computer and Internet technology to realizeinformatization management has become a crucial issue for conference organizers.The current academic conference usually has large numbers and on a substantial scale.The traditional manual conference management methods exist a plenty of deficiencies,such as incomplete information statistics, low efficiency and resource waste etc. Theseweaknesses, to some degree, influence the normal progress of an academic conference.Thus, in this thesis, we are aiming at constructing a reliable, efficient and user-friendlyconference management system, which could provide a perfect conference managementservice and support for both research departments and participants. Accordingly, helpingthe conference organizers greatly reduce the complexity of the meeting management andworkload.This thesis is organized as follows. First, fully researches about the current situationof conference management systems have been carried out. And the system user roles,basic functions and conference capabilities have been analyzed. Then, some modulefunctions, processes, and interfaces are detailed designed based on B/S (Browser/Server)architecture and SSH development framework, such as meeting information module,participant module and academic paper module etc. Besides, this system also utilizesJQuery, Trimpath, JSON and AJAX to separate the data from the display methods and todesign the business processes of each module. Finally, some necessary functional testshave been made, which reveals the functional modules worked well. The system is basedon the popular development framework, scalable, easy to maintain, easy customizationfeatures and had a good preference.
