All objects can radiate infrared rays, The radiation intensity of different temperatureobjects are different, and infrared detector can detect this different to generate infrared image. The infrared image of target is different from its visible light image. The infrared image isnot the outline of the target, but the surface temperature distribution of the target. In otherwords, infrared imaging system is designed to display the unvisible surface temperaturedistribution of target to be visible. This project is in the premise of infrared imaging technology, with vanadium oxide forinfrared detecting materials, hardware platform to corresponding drive circuit andanalog-to-digital conversion circuit, USB module, OMAP3530embedded system, in theLinux environment, using the cross compiling method, developed a set of perfect softwaresystem by QT, the system include the infrared images in real-time display, video, screenshotand so on. This software system is set up with ARM cross compiler on PC Linux system.Thesoftware is generated in PC and it runs in the OMAP3530embedded system. This project transmit the target temperature information probed by the front-endinfrared detectors to the embedded system by USB data line, and displayed in the form ofvideo. When the probe target is similar to its background temperature, the original datawould be hard to observe due to the low contrast and the noise of the environment and thecircuit. In order to achieve real-time monitoring and detection, Suitable algorithm will act onthe raw data to obtain a clear contrasting infrared image, and the algorithm includes linearstretch and pseudo-color processing. The software system has friendly man-machine interface and we can control it on atouch screen handwriting. We can save pictures and record video when it is working. It canwork well in the embedded system.
