Based On Niosii Embedded Uncooled Infrared Image Processing System

The infrared thermal imaging system plays an important role in military and civilian affairs. Depending on lower cost, smaller bulk and lower dissipation, the uncooled infrared thermal imaging system occupies an important position in infrared fields. Based on the research in infrared image processing algorithm and theory of uncooled infrared imaging system, and aiming at practicability and miniaturization, an embedded uncooled infrared image processing system is designed and developed which based on NiosII processor.The first chapter of this dissertation introduces the tasks of this dissertation and the research background such as the development of the infrared imaging system and SOPC technology. In the second part, the basic theory and principle of the uncooled infrared imaging system is discussed, including the imaging principle, the structure of the infrared focal array, thermal balance equation,and non-uniformity correction algorithm.Based on these theories, the method of modifying the familiar imaging system architecture which based on FPGA and DSP is illustrated in the third chapter. In this part, the following stuff are completed:design of an whole embedded infrared imaging system and its each function module which based on altera NiosII processor; analysis of NiosII processor; software design and completement of the entire miniaturization system. The last part discusses how to realize the read and write to the memory—like SRAM, EPCS, menu display and keyboard control from two aspects-the system design, debug and its function evaluation. At last the relative evaluation result is attached.
