Design Of Signal Readout And Testing Circuits For VOX Infrared Detector

With the development of science and technology, the infrared detection technologybecome increasingly mature, it is more widely applied in the military and civil fields. Asone kind of third generation infrared detectors, uncooled microbolometer infrared detectorhas become the fastest growing detector and has broad application prospects due to itscompatible processing with CMOS integrated circuit, low cost，large-scale format andexcellent performance without chopping operation. Since western-developed countrieshave researched for a long time, several kinds of practical uncooled microbolometerdetector products have launched in the market. Due to low-level of IRFPA productiontechnology and Readout Integrated Circuit’s (ROIC) scheme, the detection performance ofour infrared detectors is still not satisfactory.This thesis presents the design and simulation of a novel ROIC for128pixelsuncooled VOXline array focal plane. Also the ROIC is used in the homemade VOXgassensor system of our laboratory. The main contents are as follows:(1) The common structure of ROIC is analyzed, and the design requirements of ROICis proposed.(2) The overall design of the unit ROIC is put forward, then the ROIC include theCapacitor Feedback Transimpedance Amplifier (CTIA) and Correlated Double Sampling(CDS) structure is simulated by software of Cadence IC. Finally, the ROIC of128pixelsand driving timing is designed.(3) The electric circuit system for homemade VOXgas sensor is designed. This systemincludes power supply circuits, analog circuits, a microcontroller software system and soon and the ROIC is used in analog circuits. The testing experiment of the sensor system iscarried out. The feasibility of the system circuit and the rationality of the ROIC are verified,and the experimental results are analyzed.
