With the development of intelligent transportation and safe city, intelligent videoanalysis has become the core technology in the field of video monitor. The existingvideo monitor system is consisted of a video camera, a video server, a datatransmission network and the center management system. The cost of the systemhardware is high; more power dissipation and transmission bandwidth are required;and the capabilities of the front-end intelligent video analysis is weak. Therefore, thestudy and development of embedded intelligent video camera is of practical value toimprove the capabilities of front-end intelligent video, lower the cost of the system,the power dissipation and the transmission bandwidth and increase the stability.In this paper TMS320DM6446dual-core processor is used to design andimplemented intelligent HD video camera system, including the power supply system,video collection and video processing hardware circuit and relevant software design.The system hardware circuit adopts a special reset chip and a low cost CMOS sensor,and mass storage devices, which not only improve the reliability of processing systembut also reduce the circuit hardware cost. Power circuit use a two-level switch powersupply circuit, which includes wide input voltage and multiple-scaled output voltage,ground plane, shielded inductors and ceramic capacitors and other methods, toimprove the precision of output voltage, load capacity, reliability and efficiency.Videoprocessing with ARM and DSP dual-core processor can improve the system of datatransmission, data storage, video display and video processing and other generalaffairs and special signal processing in real time.System data acquisition, processing,display and transmission software adopts multithreading and circulation cachingtechnology, so as to improve the video acquisition, processing, real-time display andtransmission.This article develops an intelligent HD camera system based on Linux. The testresults show that the system’s video acquisition ability is72025FPS x57615FPS/ 2592/1920x1080x19448FPS, grain peak is less than25mv, and that system powerconsumption is less than5.4W. In addition, video coding test shows that the systemcan complete real-time encoding process with videos of725x57625FPS.
