Infrared imaging technology is builded the visible image by receiving the radiationof the surface temperature distribution of the thermal field. The technology ischaracterized by receiving the invisible energy into visible thermal image in all-weatherpassive. The technology is used for military in early stage, in recent years, as a result ofuncooled infrared focal plane development of manufacturing technology and the declineof the price of the infrared detector, this technology has extended to civilian areas. Forexample, security, forest fire prevention, Power monitoring and Physical examinationand so on. Due to the diversity of applications, the portability of infrared camerabecomes significant.This paper introduces the principle of infrared imaging technology, applicationsand development status. After carrying out the comparison of the different combinationsof program, the project selected ARM with FPGA to composed of infrared camera. Abrief illustrate the uncooled infrared detector, which used in the systemdesign.According to the detector work requirements,design the UFPA drivecircuit,FPGA image data signal process circuit,and the ARM11master controlcircuit.The UFPA dirve board contain the precision bias voltage source,theanalog-to-digital conversion circuit,temperature control circuit and clock driving signalfrom FPGA.The ADC output14bit infrared image data for the Altera CorporationCyclone III FPGA EP3C40U484C7N,which complete the data alignment and shaping.At last EP3C40U484C7N uploaded the data to the the ARM11controller S3C6410complete infrared image display and temperature measurement. S3C6410as the systemcore processor, complete infrared image enhancement and temperature measurement,and it also provides rich external interfaces,which make the infrared camera is veryuser-friendly and easy to operate.The communication between the FPGA and ARM isone of difficulties of the system, the infrared image data transmission speed affects thedisplay frame. The paper elaborate on the communication of FPGA and ARMagreement. At last, the paper elaborated infrared imaging system simulation and test processing system hardware anti-interference, noise, transmission rate, powerconsumption, to ensure the stability of the system. Finally, the paper shows the structureof the system, as well as infrared imaging parameters.
