The rejuvenation of the nation should be based on the development of education. Whilethe extensive application of networks in the field of education is promoting educationalreform and development and undergoing profound changes in such aspects as educationalcontent, teaching methods, teaching models and ideas for education, and the education system.In recent years, an increasing number of educators committed themselves to based educationand practice. Within this total, the design and fabrication of Multimedia courseware as animportant component of educational resources of network, has become a modern educationaltechnology as an important research area. It has far-reaching influence for the implementationof the Education Network and the entire system of education reform and developmentwhether designs and develops excellent Multimedia courseware.In the first place, this paper by design, discusses the multimedia network coursewaredevelopment, application and evaluation process. It introduces the positive effects of networkcourseware plays in promoting the information of education and the cultivation of innovativetalents, put forward the network courseware in the design, development and application of theprinciples and problems should be paid attention to, provide theoretical and practical basis forthe development and wide use of multimedia network courseware. In addition, the paper usesWindows XP for the development platform, Tomcat engine for the server engine, ASP as aserver-side implementation language, Based on the three-tier standard protocols (B/S), itdesigns and realizes the "VFP Database application" Multimedia, Network courseware. Thissystem includes teaching resources, teaching video, online test, answering eight main functionmodules. The design of system closely integrates the curriculum, syllabus and curriculumfeatures. Through Internet platform or campus network, teachers can easily complete theteaching of the course, and students will also be flexible in learning the course. Students caneasily enter chapters they eager to learn through navigation column; through the navigationbar the students can easily enter the corresponding teaching module. The system structure iscomplete, interactive strong, friendly interface, strong portability.After teaching practice, the Multimedia courseware system is proved to have improvedclassroom teaching and vivid image and stimulated the interest of students in learning, it hasalso reduced the burden of teachers in examination and answering questions, has played apositive role in creating an independent learning environment for students. Besides, thesystem provided useful experience and help in improving teaching methods and teachingquality through the use of the Internet and information technology tools.
