Digital image processing technology is widely used in our daily life,and nationalsecurity and other vital important area. Traditional implementation of them mainly onARM and DSP devices.Those methods have shortcomings when dealing with huge data throughout and real time demanding system.The power consumption is high and have large volume,soit’s unstable and the overall performance is not ideal. This design uses the FPGA device which has embedded microprocessor and DSP block and reconfigurable hard logic.both the bandwidth,parallelism,real-time performance compared to the former has remarkable advantages.so system design based on FPGA will be preferrable.The method adopted in the dissertation is to use the Nexys3FPGA boardwith SD cardand LCD displayer. The system includes the SD card controller module,SPI protocolmodule,decoding module,ping-pong operation of FIFO module,DDR controll module,VGAdriver module.Using HDL coding and call IP kernels,Completely implement a high-definitondigital-poto Displaying system based on FPGA.The design based on FPGA can make full use of the abundant embedded hardwareresources,and its well-designed architecture,reconfigurable feature. Can achieve excellentflexibility and performance.The elaborately designed FSM and intermediate module can bemapped into physical logic and remarkably improving the processing speed.In addition byadding audio and video processing module can implement more complex function.
