With the quality of life and transportation convenience improved, more andmore people have the ability and have time for tourism activities. Nowadays,tourists have not just been rigidly adhere to a quick tour, but focus more on the deepconnotation and all-direction experience during travelling. Comprehending the deepcultural and histoical connotation when enjoy the beautiful scenery, tourists couldmeet their psychology demand of tourist, such as being respected needs, knowledgeneeds, aesthetic needs and self-actualization needs through the interaction betweenvarious senses and the environment. As a new way of tourism activities, digitaltourism has attracted more and more attention. How to combine digital technologywith the reality of tourism better and provides tourists a better travel experience tomeet their psychological needs of various levels of travel, has become a topic ofcommon concern in the field of digital media technology and tourism industry.Human cognitive processes was consisted of three parts, and they areassimilation, adaptation, balancing. The interaction between the cognitive subjectand the environment is the core of the cognitive processes. Perception is the premiseof cognition, and cognitive processes are built on the basis of perception. Therefore,there are two ways to raise tourism recogniton, that is, raising tourism perceptionand raising interation experience of tourism. The aesthetics and interaction ofaugmented reality technology could help raise percption and interaction, thuscontribute to human cognition.Digital tourism design based on augmented reality technology designs fromthree dimensions, that is, cognitive, emotional experience, aesthetic experience.Through experiment and investigation, this paper verifies its advantages inpromoting tourism awareness and perception, thus tourism not only generate deepawareness, but also gain greater satisfaction to tourism products through havingmore good emotional experience and aesthetic experience to in the tourism process.In summary, as fast-growing technology, augmented reality technology has getwidespread concern, and its superior aesthetic characteristics and interactivefeatures will profoundly affect the field of digital media technology. Thecombination of augmented reality technology with digital tourism will become anew direction for the development of digital tourism. Augmented Realitytechnology create a hybrid space, mixed messages, and mixed interaction helpstourists to meet the "I" desires, release of "self" emotions, to find "super-ego" value.
