Recent years, image processing and machine vision technology continues to moveforward, results of their research has gradually been applied to all areas of sociallives;FPGA is a high-performance programmable logic device, its structure is suitable forimage processing algorithms to achieve the acceleration with hardware. For high-speed,high-precision measurement of the development direction of modern visual system,I choseto use FPGA as the hardware platform, to study around these two trends.After building up the real-time online measurement platform based on FPGA, thispaper uses hardware acceleration methods to solve problems of online image processingand distortion correction, First of all, I realize the configuration and initialization of theimage sensor image via Verilog programming language; Operations of image processingtemplate used to the convolution require to change of the image data from serial form intoparallelism, so this paper put forward a method to get the data parallel oriented form anddesign appropriate hardware architecture;As for typical image processing algorithms, givethe structure of FPGA-based implementation and use System Generator to build modelsfor these algorithm structure, then verify the correctness of the design.In embedded-image-processing systems,CORDIC algorithm can implement somecertain elementary functions for real-time online computing.I study the structure anddesign it’s hardware based-on FPGA, then make the corresponding simulation; After theintroduction of pinhole camera model which is the basis of the visual measurement, I theanalyse and study the effects of distortion after distortion model is introduced. Bydeducing the formula of four-order radial distortion model, this paper describes a easymethod of to obtaine distortic parameters about radial distortion model. Specifically forsecond-order radial distortion model, gives a distortion correction architecture using theFPGA hardware implementation, the architecture includes reverse mapping correctionscheme to obtain the coordinates and bilinear interpolation two parts.Using Matlab as a programming tool,set up a radial distortion correction module, theobservation of experimental results proved that distortion correction can make a great difference to improve the precision of visual measurement system,and the using of FPGAas a undisortion tool research is of great significance.
