Embedded intelligent control system for bus station guideboard can effectively showreal-time status of the bus, which will provide the reference for the passengers. Embeddedintelligent control system for bus station guideboard is based on the intelligent transportationsystems and embedded systems and combines the advantages of both technologies, which isone of the hotspots in the current studies.This paper analyses the main issues of embedded intelligent control system for busstation guideboard from the functions of intelligent transportation system, and determines thestatus and the role of embedded intelligent control system for bus station guideboard in theintelligent transportation system. And three core issues are proposed for this system, includingthe video surveillance in the buses, the precise positioning for the buses and the timeprediction for the arriving buses. The three core issues are regarded as the research focus ofembedded intelligent control system for bus station guideboard.Around the three core functions, we provide the hardware overall solution for this system,build the core development platform based on Samsung ARM processor S3C6410, and finishthe peripheral circuit design and module selection for the platform. The platform provides afull range of hardware solutions, conforming to the needs of the three core functions. Andthen we select the appropriate embedded operating system for the hardware platform, buildthe software development environment based on Android, and have a comprehensiveexposition of the Android operating system explanting process.We provide the overall architecture of the video surveillance in the buses, design WiFinetworking form of embedded intelligent control system for bus station guideboard, andpropose the industrial wireless router cascade solutions along the bus sites to guarantee thereliable video transmission between the buses and mobile users. And we design the videosurveillance servers for buses, build the bus video surveillance platform based on the V4L2 video technology and the embedded Web server, and realize the remote accessing system ofPC and the mobile terminal based on HTML5.We research the principle of the precise positioning for the buses and the time predictionfor the arriving buses in-depth. On the basis of the large amount of the data analysis andobservation, we found that the key factors that affect the precise positioning for the buses andthe time prediction for the arriving buses, and propose the magnetic adsorption algorithm toimprove the position precision and the intelligent algorithm based on time to improve the timeprediction for the arriving buses in the help of mathematical reasoning. The two algorithmssolve the problems of the precise positioning for the buses and the time prediction for thearriving buses preferably.Finally, we finish testing the embedded intelligent control system for bus stationguideboard, and optimize the system for the existing problems to enhance the systemperformance, which further verify that the system has some practical value and economicvalue.
