IntroductionThe Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is being developed withthe development of road traffic demand and modern high technology, itis the road traffic system of new generation researching and developing.ITS apply the advanced information technology, the navigationtechnology, transmission technology of data communication, automaticcontrol technology, computer network and information treatmenttechnology to the traffic management system. It set up oneomni-directional, real-time, accurate, high-efficient comprehensivetransportation system. The research and development of ITS canstrengthen the connection between road, vehicle, driver andadministrative staff, and make administrative staff and driver can knowvehicle state and situation, thus reduce the congested state of the road, improve road transportation efficiency and traffic safety, so as to ensurefast, on time, convenient and comfortable public communications andtransportation. The range that the intellectual transportation system has beenalready certain is widely used, but the application is set up on thefoundation of traditional software design, and the range is very small. The traditional development approach implies some drawbacks, because what they developed is a independence and close system, lacking expanding and adaptability, it is very difficult to adapt to theexternal environment that change, the systematic renewal and cost ofmaintenance are all very high. For this reason, we merge CORBAmodel based on component in the system that we develop and make ithave good opening and expansion at the beginning, so as to ensure itsvitality with power.Groundwork of this textThe Intelligent Transportation Management System based onCORBA that this text studies is one project of the smooth traffic projectsto implement in Nanjing. It is the important component of the intelligenttransportation system. The distributed computing technology of CORBAhas put forward the new solution for the traditional traffic managementsystem, it have overcome the close and independent character of thetraditional management system and has pointed out the direction for theintelligent transportation system. The component in the system iscarried on mutually through CORBA bus and exchange visits throughthe interface in common use. Each component has hidden the detailrealized by oneself and has been separated between each other. Wewill just set up the connection when component need the other side'sservice only. The full text divides into six chapters altogether: Chapter one is the introduction. This chapter states the state oftraffic of the present our country at first, then introduce the intelligenttransportation system to the city traffic question. Through comparing thesituation of the intelligent transportation system in the world at present,we have summarized the weak point of the intelligent transportationsystem of our country, and point out the source of the thesis. Finally, wewill introduce the content of this text. Chapter two is the research of CCM component technology of theIntelligent Transportation Management System. This chapter describesthe important new basic characteristic to standardize component model(CCM) include CORBA component model, component definition, component realization frame, container programming model, andcomponent package model. Because CCM model has drawn lessonsfrom the successful mode of EJB, and will be stronger than EJB in a lotof functionality, and its transparency to the language (EJB can onlyapply to Java) make it having a good prospect. Chapter three is the overall design of the Intelligent TransportationManagement System. According to the system structure, all servers inthe system adopt the normal ORB communication bus of CORBA. Theserver connected on the bus provides service to the external worldthrough the open CORBA interface. The advantage of doing it in thisway is that the complexity of communication is simplified betweenevery server and we can realize load balanced and fault-tolerantthrough adding the corresponding server to the bus. ORB supportsIIOP agreement on Internet, so the server in the system cancommunicate with external CORBA server through Internet. In thecourse of concrete design, we divide the system into somesubsystems according to the hierarchical structure of the intelligenttraffic administrative system: data gather subsystem, vehicle controlsubsystem, and traffic lead subsystem. Traffic lead subsystem isfoundations of the Intelligent Transportation Management System; allcollection of the traffic data is finished by this subsystem. Vehicle controlsubsystem is set up on the data gather subsystem, it operate the dataand realize control on vehicle. Chapter four is study and design of the traffic lead subsystem. TheIntelligent Transportation Management System, through leading andoffering tour reference information to persons who go out, realizedynamic route function. It grasps the real-time traffic data of the networkof urban road in an all-round way through the traffic managementsystem. We utilize real-time dynamic traffic data and traffic flowpredicting theory to offer persons with optimum route of destination, making the traffic flow of the city tend to the optimum distribution. Thetraffic lead subsystem is in the top floor of the system, it realizesfunction of the traffic flow predicting and inquiring optimum route. Itprovides service through other subsystems. Because the design of thecomponet has already been introduced in other subsystems, thischapter only provides the overall design of the system. Chapter five is the realization of the Intelligent Transportation...
