Study On Philology Value Of Jin Yufu’s "Liaohai Series"

Jin Yufu is the famous historiographer, documentalist, and the pioneer and founder of the researchon Chinese Northeast history in modern times of our country. Mr. Jin had huge breadth ofknowledge and capability, he studied deeply in history, literature, characters, archaeology,document and geography, especially in history of northeast China, and he contributed for themmost.Mr.Jin not only had many writings much more than the scholars of the past who studied thehistory of Northeast China, but also he enjoyed a high reputation in historian circle in the world.“Liaohai Series” was the most important northeast literature which he directed and edited himself,and it became the first northeast local series about history of northeast china.Basing on reading the original literature——“Liaohai Series”, depending on the academic supportand knowledge of classical philology and northeast history, the author uses for reference ofpredecessors’ research achievement,and he consults and textual researches “Liaohai Series” andpertinent literature. Then he demonstrates and expounds the writing process and document value,in order to make the value of the series to be known to the world and provide us reference for theour study.The article makes up of three parts. The first part is to introduce the lifetime, academicsuccess,study method, and academic thoughts of Mr. Jin Yufu. The second part includes edit orwriting process,contents and the value of “Liaohai Series”. In this part, the author compiles thewriting process record, content and value about “Liaohai Series” from “Jingwushi Diary”. Thethird part expounds the philology contribution of “Liaohai Series” and summaries its editmethod, style features, academic status and influence.
