In the study of wireless sensor network, node location technology is an importantsupport technology.Obtaining accurately sensor node location information is vital forthe whole sensor network monitoring.Generally speaking, wireless sensor nodes arerandomly distributed within the specified range area, predicting the location of thenodes difficultly, achieving node localization is one of the traditional technologythrough the transmission of information between sensor nodes.Node localizationalgorithm accuracy is not high and it’s energy consumption is too large by thenode energy consumption, communication distance length and geographicalenvironment.The paper summarized the node localization technology in wireless sensornetworks,drew many highly detailed studies of the existing localization algorithmperformance from the network node distribution, measuring error, energyconsumption and scalability of square in four aspects,summarized and analysedscience the main influence factors.On this basis, the paper puted forward theimproved algorithm respectively from two different aspects of distance measuring andpositioning. In terms of range, The paper used a gaussian weighting function that canmore effectively inhibit signal volatility’s influence on the RSSI ranging value inranging algorithm based on gaussian function,proposed ranging algorithm based ongaussian weighted correction.The algorithm used the threshold value K to optimizegaussian function measuring RSSI, and process the ranging results weighted, avoidthe optimization results that the same parameters or function model is adopted toimprove the measurement error of RSSI value. In terms of positioning, the papercombined RSSI ranging and centroid algorithm to put forward the centroidlocalization algorithm based on gaussian weighted correction.The algorithm usedRSSI that was measured by a gaussian weighting function to calculate distancebetween unknown nodes and anchor nodes, and using the theory of improved PITprinciple further conform to the center of mass screening of anchor nodes, finallycalculated the position of unknown node coordinate through the centroid algorithmformula. Simulation experiments show that the improved algorithm can avoid thecentroid algorithm, the calculation error of the larger case, at the same timereduceing the RSSI value that is affected by environment, to a certain extent, improveing the positioning accuracy and extending the scope of RSSI rangingpositioning.
