The Media Image Of Medical Workers

In recent years, with the increasing tension of the doctor-patient relationship, medical workers group has increasingly become the focus of public debate. Medical workers in the hearts of the people in old days were angels in white clothes without self-interest, for the sake of others, and with selfless dedication, they heal the sick, brought the sick from the death. Today, mercenary, corrupt, indifferent impression of medical workers are deep in pubic heart. Its image are inextricably linked with media. This study aims to analyse the image of the medical presented in the media,and do comparative analysis with the image of the reality of medical workers and find the problems of the media when presenting the image of the medical workers, and try to give some advice.This paper will analyse news reports and on-line words, supplemented by the investigation of the image of the medical workers in the public and their own mind. The text is divided into four parts, historical image of medical workers, the image of the traditional media, new media image, realistic image. Traditional media image,select ing486news reports of the medical workers on"Sina" website in2012as research subjects; new media image, selecting the comments after reports and10hot postings of the Tianya Forum as research subjects; realistic image using a variety of survey methods to obtain data. The study found that:(1) media image about medical workers mainly focus on their areas of work, only a few typical positive coverage of traditional media will be involved in other areas of life;(2) the media interested in the reports of the doctor-patient relationship and mostly negative information reported is unfair;(3) public awareness of medical workers and medical workers self-awareness are obviously affected by the negative reports in the media. Finally, causes of the media image of the medical workers are analyzed from the media, public, medical, and other aspects and the relevant recommendations are given to the media.
