Analysis Of News Objectivity In Reports About Woman Died At Peking University Third Hospital

During recent years,the Chinese Society is developing rapidly.People's living standard is improving greatly.However,the rapid developing of society brings not only prosperity,but also various types of social contradictions.Social contradictions,especially conflicts between doctors and patients could often be seen in daily news.Because of the fact that professional knowledge in the medical industry is quite difficult for normal people to understand,together with the lack of communication between doctors and patients,reading reports about the medical industry is one major way for the general public to know about the medical industry.Objective Reports could help the general public gain access to the true situation about doctor and patients.Meanwhile,subjective reports would intensify the misunderstanding,lack of trust between doctors and patients,even intensify deterioration of relationship between doctor and patients.To find out whether reports about this event is objective or not,this study focus on one conflict between doctor and patient,one pregnant woman died at the Peking University Third Hospital.New sources are Sina.com ad Xinhua.com.Study finds out reports from these two media are relatively objective.However,the way how journalists write reports could be improved.Based on the analysis,this study puts forward several principals which could be complied for journalists to write objective news.
