Research And Development Of Distributed CAPP System Based On SOA

With the gradual promotion of enterprises’ information construction, Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP), the key technology which connects manufacturing to design, has an increasingly considerable influence on enterprises’ collaborative production. Meanwhile, as an important part of CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System), CAPP, together with other application systems, plays a very significant role in the development of an entire enterprise. In order to meet the production needs and the requirements of process design, modern enterprises request CAPP systems to be distributed, integrated and intelligent. SOA introduces the concept of "service" and encapsulates the business process and information from the perspective of business to make the system design easily achieve loose coupling and integration. By exploiting SOA model’s good scalability, flexibility and portability, problems about system maintenance difficulties and business needs change can be preferably solved; and a distributed application system with a good performance and availability can be built.In this paper, from the point of process design, based on the design concept of SOA and by combining WCF with Silverlight rich client technology, a distributed CAPP system architecture based on SOA is established after reasonable demand analyses of the detailed research on enterprises’ production process. And a system database is designed according to all the systematically-organized process resource data. Furthermore, this paper particularly introduces the design procedure of the process planning and auditing flow and the implementation procedure of workflow control. In the meantime, since the system is divided into multiple sub-modules based on different functions, this article describes the specific step-by-step implementation of each module and their integration to construct the overall distributed CAPP system.
