Along with the rapid development of the information technology, the digital agehas entered every corner of human life, personal identity authentication and informationsecurity technology becomes more and more important. In today’s world, irisrecognition system is generally accepted as the highest recognition accuracy ofbiological recognition, iris recognition technology recognize identification through theeye iris feature identification, the iris feature matching accuracy even more than DNAmatching, this technique has been widely considered the highest identity recognitionsystem with the accuracy, stability, scalability in biological determination of industry.With the market demand, iris recognition system is widely used in various fields, hasdeveloped from some secret place development to all sectors of society, airport, bank,financial, public security, entry and exit ports, security, network, electronic commerce,attendance, access control systems.This paper is designed embedded system of iris recognition based on TITMS320DM6446processor, DaVinci of TI digital video processing chip having apowerful video data processing, TMS320DM6446is integrated with DSP and ARMdual-core processing chip, ARM processor has the excellent control function for thesystem, it control and management the operating system and all the application to run ofsystem, DSP is C6000series, has the powerful data processing ability, it responsible forthe management of iris algorithm. The main work of this paper is composed of thefollowing several parts:1. Have been completed on the basis of embedded iris recognition system hardwarecircuit, circuit board welding, commissioning, testing.2. The underlying hardware driver software design, completion of the U-bootbootloader clipping and transplantation, the transplantation of Linux operating system,design operating system hardware drivers based on the Linux, such as V4L2frameimage acquisition device driver design, LCD display driver design, hardware circuitdebugging3. Optimization algorithm for iris recognition, transplanted algorithm into DSP for running, processing and operation, design algorithm transplantation based on TI’s Codecserver and Codec Engine architecture4.
