Along with the rapid development o00 f the information technology, the digital age has entered every corner of human life, personal identity authentication and information security technology becomes more and more important. In today’s world, iris recognition system is generally accepted as the highest recognition accuracy of biological recognition, iris recognition technology recognize identification through the eye iris feature identification, the iris feature matching accuracy even more than DNA matching, this technique has been widely considered the highest identity recognition system with the accuracy, stability, scalability in biological determination of industry. With the market demand, iris recognition system is widely used in various fields, has developed from some secret place development to all sectors of society, airport, bank, financial, public security, entry and exit ports, security, network, electronic commerce, attendance, access control systems.This paper is designed embedded system of iris recognition based on TI TMS320DM6446 processor, DaVinci of TI digital video processing chip having a powerful video data processing, TMS320DM6446 is integrated with DSP and ARM dual-core processing chip, ARM processor has the excellent control function for the system, it control and management the operating system and all the application to run of system, DSP is C6000 series, has the powerful data processing ability, it responsible for the management of iris algorithm. The main work of this paper is composed of the following several parts:1. Describes the current mainstream biometric identification technology, focusing on the iris recognition technology.2.Introduce the principle and process of local image characteristics matching algorithm, and analyzed the possibility of the local image characteristics used in iris recognition. Considering the particularities of iris image, we applied a lot of improvement and innovation to local image characteristics matching algorithm. These modifications not only overcame the limitation of time consumption and space occupation, but also kept its invariability advantages, which successfully introduced the algorithm to the real-time iris recognition system, feasibly.3. Iris feature descriptor proposed the concept of online training, making the iris recognition system in daily use, can be saved automatically optimize the characteristics of the iris database, so that the system can be used for a long process of gradual steady increase in positive identification rate and reduce errors rejection rate, and changes in the environment on the collection has some self-adaptive4.
