The Database And Design Of Material Purchasing Decision-making And Implementation Of The System

I has joined in the project: Material procurement Decision Support System for ourcompany for4years,I’m in charge of the function plan and design as the begin of thisproject, So I get a lot of experience on Material procurement Decision Support Systemand the related Database system, and I has already read a lots of Documents on thisfield so I has got a deeply understanding on major Material procurement DecisionSupport System and the related DataBase system (include Foreign company’s systemand Domestic system).Material procurement Decision Support System (DSS) is very usefull BI systemfor a Electronic Manufacturing Services Company (EMS for short), and it is a DataWarehouse system in fact. It is very important for the company’s CEO andProcurement staff. But lots of company still using traditional Excel tables or DatabaseTables and making their procurement decision base on those tables------that have alots of shortages: low efficient, low encryption for both paper documents and electronicExcel file, and as time pass by there will be huge number of Excel sheet. And it will bevery good for EMS company: if the basic BOM system and basic data already input,then use a Data dig system to get data from those DataBase system. But the quality andthe veracity of the data is not only based on the wrong input, the exchange betweeneach DataBase and the import of each DataBase will also making it.In this document, I will introduce the DataBase system and the DDE module ofour Material procurement Decision Support System, as well as Material ManagementModule and Material Requirement Module, and I will go further to describe MaterialABC Classification, EOQ, ETC.So we developing this Material procurement Decision Support System as a Datamining system, it connect all the related DataBase in our branch，and co-operate witheach sub-company’s ERP system and connect with the Supply Chain system withoutgap, and produce all kinds of integrative Data Sheet to related staff automatically, this make the staff can be sure the needed statistics with a glace so as to help the leader andthe major procurement staff to make the right decision on procurement.
