In recent years digital cable TV develops into a new state. The interactive television which based on the bidirectional transmission network becomes the new trend in today’s TV industry. Digital cable interactive television system has widely adopted IP technology to transfer and provides users with video on-demand, look back, and a variety of value-added services. Thus users can enjoy a variety of customized services at home. For the new large interactive television system operators, how to effectively unified monitor a varies of code flow in the transmission network has become a valuable research subject because of the demands are random time and full of uncertainty.Therefore, this paper focuses on how to grasp each link of real-time flow group status and how to locate nodes’position when problem occurs.This paper has designed and implemented a management system that can detect TS over IP flows in the network using the JAVA EE technology, Flex technology, and C++language.Firstly, this paper analyzes demands for the entire stream monitoring system, in which the functional requirements including MonitorServer management platform and DataCollector data handler. This paper also provides the interface requirements of the system showing with diagrams.According to the requirement analysis results, designs the overall architecture of the data stream monitoring system. And then the paper designs system database tables and fields in detail, with citing related fields. In the next chapter, the paper proposes the detailed design including handled-flow process and related classes for each module, such as MonitorServer’s real-time monitoring module, configuration module, query statistics module, business module, DataCollector’s scheduling module, configuration module, short long connection module, gathering module and storage module. At the end, this paper introduces the communication protocol designed between each sub module, which is based on XML.In the system realization section, the paper gives some core modules’algorithm design and code implementation, and explains the relevant invocation process in the form of text.In the following section, the paper explains the running environment of the system and the running results, and shows the user’s interface.Finally, the paper summarizes the results of this project and the achievements of the author during the period of the project, and puts forward the further improvement direction.
