The Design And Implementation Of Personalized Intelligent Gateway

In recent years, with the rapid development of network technology, the degree of network coverage is greatly increased, more and more people demand for network access. As the core of the network access device, Gateway play an important role that its working properly or not directly affect the user access experience.In some public places, there are many different users. These users who have many different devices are hard to be managed. Sometimes the configuration of these users’devices is not uniform. If these users have not enough knowledge about network, they may not know the network configuration of the device, which leads to the part of the users are difficult to access network in a short time. If the gateway can recognize user equipment configuration automatically and supply its normal service, there will have a better user experience. In addition, in some public places need to provide different services to different users, gateway need to have the ability of recognizing users and supplying different types of services according to the area or the registration status of the user, such as customization Portal, adapting browser language in Portal and so on.Based on the existing gateway this paper analyses the basic technology of gateway firstly, then introduce the concept and the design principles of the intelligent and the individuation of the gateway, at last realize the personalized intelligent gateway via extending functions on the pfSense gateway system. This paper will describe data structures of program, program algorithms and the configuration of related applications. Finally, this paper will introduce the optimization of problems encountered in practical applications.
