Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the wireless communication industry, People have higherrequirements for the quality of the wireless signal coverage and data transmission speed.Femto base station can solve these two issues. There is a huge demand to Femto in the futuremarket. The larger number of the Femto, the greater work of testing. So it is necessary todesign an Automated Test System to reduce the workload of the Femto test.According to actual needs of the work, we adopt the building block automatic test systembased on the Internet cable; The system consists of server and client, the server is the core ofthe system and can control every client. Server and client communication via UDP, Eachclient can be distributed in a different location, and can control a plurality of UE. Firstly,UEis enrolled to the Femto base station to be tested; Secondly, UE is required to provide all kindsof services; last, we can test the services of the Femto.The server consists of device management module, task management module, servicenotification module, a database module and communication module. Device managementmodule is responsible for the operation of the equipment and display of device status, TaskManagement module is responsible for the execution of tasks, and storage and display of theresults of the tasks. Service notification module can automatically notify tester when anexception occurs, Database module can provide information to store and query service for theentire system, The communication module uses the UDP protocol to provide communicationbetween the server and the client. The client mainly includes the wireless communicationmodule, the UE interaction management module and the UE interaction module. UEinteraction management module is responsible for parsing the command, executing of thecommand, and reporting the state of UE host and UE. UE interaction module is responsiblefor establishing serial communication, sending AT commands, checking the UE connectionstatus, and handling returned messages from UE. The wireless communication module is usedas UE and is registered in the base station to be tested.At last, we debugged the wireless communication module and the automatic test system,the debugging results illustrate the system functions. And we made a further analysis of theresults of the debugging,The analysis of the data show that the performance of the automatic test system satisfy the3G communications specification of Ministry of Industry andInformation Technology.
