With the rapid development of Chinese economy and technology, the range ofsmartcard applications has been quickly widened, such as bank cards, all-in-one cards,mobile phone SIM card, Medicare card. As a result, smartcard market demands isincreasingly growing. However, insufficient productive capacity still prevails in the industryrecently, while an important way to solve this problem is to develop high-speed personalcard system equipment. Improving the production speed of personal card system equipmentis subject to ensuring its stability and the stability influences reading and writing data, andthen security and information integrity of smartcard. Production practice shows that thestability of the personal card system equipment is mainly affected by the quality of powersupply, temperature and other factors. To this end, we design personal card systemequipment monitoring system of the power supply unit.Firstly this paper represents the research background, the purpose and significance,mainly introduces research contents, then briefly gives the composition of equipment’ssoftware and hardware and the monitoring system for the power supply unit. As for thepower supply part, we design the power supply unit based on controllable DC step-downmodule which achieves a satisfactory result.Also, this paper introduces the hardware design of the power supply unit monitoringsystem. We adopte STC12C5A60S2microcontroller monitoring system as the maincontroller, DS18B20temperature sensor as temperature acquisition device, ACS754LCBcurrent sensor as current signal converted into voltage signal, and use LCD screen todisplay some information. A key-press circuit, alarm circuit and communication circuit arealso designed. For STC12C5A60S2microcontroller, the A/D conversion function is used tocapture the voltage signal using, PWM output as D/A converter to control the DC/DC buckmodule and reduce the system temperature, serial ports for communicating with PC.Besides, We designed the software of monitoring system based on the hardware andanalysis the way to improve the operating efficiency and reliability of the microcontroller. Relevant software design in upper computer is also considered.Finally, testings and analysis of the system are detailed in the paper, inclusive of eachperformance index for DC/DC buck module and monitoring system and warning responsefor each fault status.
