Since the reform and opening up, the economy of China develops rapidly, ourpeople’s income levels increase a lot, the urbanization speeds up, and the automotiveholdings increase very year. According to incomplete statistics,20%families havecars in China,which is higher in first-tier and second-tier cities. This situation bringstremendous pressure to the traffic system and makes the traffic deteriorating. Vehicleautomatic detection is key technology to the optimization of the traffic, it not only isstrong information support for the development of intelligent transportation, but alsohas important reference value to the solution of worsening traffic.Intelligent parking management system is one of the most importantapplications of vehicle automatic detection. Nowadays, the car grooming andparking problem becomes seriously year by year, therefore, this paper was going toresearch intelligent parking management system. By placing detecting nodes, wecould detect vehicle automatically and integrate the message of parking lots. Thispaper discussed the applications on WSN by introducing the technology of wirelesssensor networks. The vehicle detection system was based on wireless sensornetworks; it had the advantage of low cost, low power consumption, high precisionand high network capacity. My research focused on the following aspects:1、Research the hardware circuit-detecting nodes, which have the feature of lowpower consumption, high power and small size.2、Research the vehicle detection algorithm, which has high accuracy, adaptivethreshold adjustment and state baseline. Add response function to make sure that thebase station, routing and terminal node can communicate according to the design.3、Design software and GUI interface, including information managementmodule, parking map display module and instructions issued module.
