Design And Implementation Of Government Supervision Bao'an District Management Information System

With China’s rapid development of various aspects in economy, society and culture, the governmental administration is also gradually changing form an outdated and simple stereotype to an innovative social management mode. Due to the increasingly complex working contents, the wide range of business, the heavy workload and the demanding working timeliness, the traditional administrative style of the government is now facing great challenges. The old work pattern often causes that the important documents cannot be conveyed in time and temporary, oral assigned or non-official tasks are not followed up efficiently, and thus it is very difficult to adapt to the changes in current governmental affairs.In this paper, the design and the implementation of a new supervision system was described, based on the specific circumstances and the characteristics of the government management in Bao’an District, Shenzhen City. At first, the requirements of the supervision system was studied by tracking the day-to-day work contents and features. Meanwhile, taking j2ee standards、the object-oriented design pattern and the Browser/Server (B/S) structure was chosen for implementation, with rational division of the business of layers and convenient system migration, to ensure the security and stability of the system.Not only does the implementation of the system solve the issues including wasting of natural resources by sending and receiving paper documents, the lack of timeliness and the difficulties to archive and retrieve the paper documents, but it also greatly improves the efficiency and quality of government administration.
