The research, development plan and construction of Smart grid is full swing in progress in each country, as the important support of information and communication network technology is also of concern. With facilitate better consistency of the high-voltage power line as channel power line carrier communication (Power Line Communication PLC) technology has been widely used in power high-voltage transmission grid technology has become mature. However, in the low voltage power distribution network due to the power terminal of the large number and wide distribution, a low degree of intelligence, line construction era span, the uneven quality of performance characteristics of the power line less consistency, resulting in the choice of communication technology in various forms. Power Line Carrier as a good alternative communication technology, has been used in automatic meter reading (AMR), smart home, street lighting control field, the advantages are obvious economic benefits, the application has a promising future. Over the past decade, the PLC technology research concentrated on the physical layer and link layer has made a number of significant achievements, and promote the development of PLC technology. However, the study focus on the network layer is rare, researching the routing protocols and algorithms to adapt to the low-voltage power line channel’s low impedance, high noise, high attenuation and time-varying characteristics, communication expansion and improve the reliability of communication, has a positive application value and significance.The article introduces the existing power line communication standard and analyzes the characteristics of each standard. Besides the article analyses the characteristics of the low-voltage power line communication network, summarizes that the low-voltage power line communication requires a dynamic routing for replaying node for data forwarding, so as to expand the range of low-voltage power line communication network communication and improve the reliability of communication between the source node to destination node, then analyzes several existing common dynamic routing algorithm and put forward the improvement direction. Studying of the Genetic Algorithms and Ant Colony Algorithm and designing the simulation experiments in low-voltage power line communication network, the article shows that Genetic Algorithms and Ant Colony Algorithm both are able to meet the low-voltage power line communication network. Although the genetic algorithm is quickness, the accuracy is not high and Ant Colony Algorithm also has the defects of slow convergence speed. Aiming at the advantages and disadvantages of genetic algorithm and Ant Colony Algorithm, the article proposes a hybrid genetic Ant Colony Algorithm and apply it into the low-voltage power line communication network and a simulation was carried out. The simulation result shows that the hybrid genetic Ant Colony Algorithm not only can well adapt to the low-voltage power line communication network, but also the performance is better than genetic algorithm and Ant Colony Algorithm. Compared with basic Ant Colony Algorithm, GAAC algorithm improves about59.3%on the performance and shortens the operation time about37.8%.
