With the development of network communication and embedded system, thetechnology of communication based on mobile Ad Hoc network will be widely applied. Infact, the traditional embedded communication equipment, such as smart phone, PDA, etc,can realize wireless data communication with the help of the base station provided bytelecom operators. However, this thesis constructs and implements a software system of thehandheld mobile embedded terminal which based on Ad Hoc network, to adapt the militaryenvironment without the base station. The system makes use of the wireless transceiverunit-ZigBee module to achieve text or voice communication among the nodes. Meantime,taking the structure and function of the hardware system into account, we build and realizethe communication terminal software system.The software system of mobile Ad Hoc network terminal can be treated as thecombination of embedded system and application. At the beginning, this thesis builds andimplements an integral, simple embedded system, including bootloader, Linux kernel andfile system, especially we present the design of fast start of the embedded system. What’smore, according to the hardware circuit design for the touch-screen, the author analyzes thestructure of the touch-screen driver, and finishes the work of its test and calibration. At last,as a necessary part of the current embedded real-time communication system, theembedded GUI provides a visualization window which is simple, intuitive and easy tohandle for users. Based on the Qt/Embedded application, this thesis realizes the GUIsystem of the whole mobile Ad Hoc network terminal, and let people complete the text andvoice transmission via convenient interface operation.In summary, the software system of Ad Hoc network terminal has achieved the desiredeffects. Experimental results show that the system has the superior performance of stable,convenient, and fast response, etc, and it can complete the data transmission without basestation, to some extent, also contributes to the development of embedded systemtechnology.
