With the development of the socio-economic progress and the improvement of people’sliving standard,People are increasingly high requirements for the safety of the home environment,This makes home security become a indispensable part of people’s lives. Video surveillancetechnology is a very popular security technology that developed in recent years, It combines anumber of advanced technologies such as embedded processing technology,streaming mediatechnology and network transmission technology.As one of the critical subsystems of the video surveillance system, data storage systems isan important research topic of the video surveillance system. The main content of this paper is todesign a new type of video surveillance data storage systems, the system overcomes thelimitations of the general-purpose file system in video surveillance applications. In the systemimplementation process, Focus on the new file system design ideas and important interfacedesign process as well as the design method of Storage policy layer above the file systemprogram, at last, also made a detailed description of the design method for the file system datarecovery program.Firstly the paper according to the special requirements of video surveillance systems for datastorage performance, from several levels such as access speed, disk space utilization, data cyclecoverage and data security in the field of general-purpose file system analysis forgeneral-purposefile system in the large stream, the lack of storage performance on large files and memoryresources of high occupancy rate of defects, a high-speed, safe, simple structure, the data can berecycled coverage for a large flow of video storagenew file system design requirements. Andspecific analysis of the various technical details of the new file system is needed in the design,also associated with file system design concept as well as a new file system with features.On the basis of the above analysis, the completion of the design of the file system interface,The file system can be run on the Linux platform. Finally, through the completion of the filesystem storage strategies laye interface program and data recovery program, The design of thevideo surveillance data storage subsystem was completed.After rigorous testing and large-scale applications, the proof of this storage system can be well positioned to meet the demand for practical application, the indicators have reached theefficiency of data access, data security and system stability, has a high practical value.
