Offering ubiquitous links and safe, controlled, personalized services, so IoT (Internet of Things) has a rather wide range of applications. Therefore, IoT is referred to as the third wave following the computer and the Internet in the information industry. But today, research on IoT is still in its infancy. There exist many challenges, such as IPv4address depletion, fast exchange of massive data, protocols optimization of terminal networks, in the process of IoT development and popularization. Therefore, research on a massive data fast-interaction mechanism and terminal networks for IoT is quite significant for development and optimization of IoT applications. This paper firstly introduces the architecture, core technologies and major challenges of IoT, then presents some relevant theoretical knowledge including abstract algebra, discrete mathematics, multistage interconnection networks (MINs) and Grover searching algorithm, etc. This paper secondly presents, compares and analyses several mainstream data-exchange equipments and some nonmainstream data-exchange mechanisms in detail. This paper finally researches and improves three major challenges including IPv4address depletion, fast exchange of massive data and the routing optimization of terminal networks in particular.Aiming at IPv4address depletion, we consider a kind of address translation mechanism between IPv4and IPv6address, so the data fast-interaction platform has forward and backward compatibility in the meantime.Aiming at fast exchange of massive data, we design a kind of data fast-interactive platform based on unified algebra, then conduct performance simulation for networks which are composed of routers or data fast-interactive platforms. It is concluded that the data fast-interactive platform has a faster speed of data exchange and a lower packet-loss-rate compared with the router from simulation results.Aiming at the routing optimization of terminal networks, we put forward two kinds of routing protocols for MANET (Mobile Ad Hoc Network), which are a high-stability routing protocol based on min-cost max-flow and a QoS (Quality of Services) routing protocol based on Grover searching algorithm. Simulation results show that these two routing protocols have better performance compared with DSR protocol.
