The Hospital Information System (HIS), a modern hospital management system, was born with the computer technology development and has been widely applied. The HIS has many advantages, for example it’s a high-efficiency and simple working ways that can save a lot of working time for the Medical Practitioners in a large part, and decrease the waste of medical supplies. Besides, it’s possible to make overall arrangements. So quickly it grows up field and is just exerting its strong function in the hospital.This paper has analyzed the working patterns of the modern hospitals, and determined the specific modes of the hospital management system. Then a system composition which suit to this experiment environment has been given. According to the customers’need, we have suggested a method to solve the practical problems in apply. Further, facing the reform of hospital industry Clinical pathways,HIS must be updated.After this, hospital data statistics have new more require. The concrete work as following:Firstly, this paper shows the study backgrounds of the hospital management system, reviews the present developing situations. Above this it is concluded that the HIS plays an decisive role in the modern hospital management, and the development of new hospital management have give our a good environment of medical treatment.In the second part, analyze the problem of the multi-branch general hospital, then find the solution to this problem, analyze the data structure and the working process, choice a design tool. Bucause now more little hospital combines a big hospital, and they need be managed in a hole, but operated by itself, we give it a more facile data management design.In this design, the important thing is intelligented data analysis. It can reduce people’s work time inffectively.In the3rd part, for clinical pathways implement, we need update part of HIS.It is a management of medical fee using disease encoding and surgery encoding, for doctor executing clinical pathways reuiring.The last, in this paper, we give several representative baby system included prescription system, statistics system, medical record. Then, we have made a functional test about the system, and further analysis on data processing also has been given.
