The book publishment, as one of the important media of cultural inheritance, always plays a very important role in the cross straits cultural exchange, and is always the most consensus and basis for cooperation fields. After20years of exchanges and cooperation with practice, the book publishing industry has brought many tangible benefits and hope to both sides. Under the background of the political, economic and trade, cultural exchange has become a popular feeling, the trend of The Times, how to further promote exchanges and cooperation of the book publishing on both sides become one of the important issues of the book publishing industry to discuss. Because of book publishing cooperation, for the heritage and development of the Chinese culture, promote cultural identity for cross-straits, to increase the cohesion and the centripetal force of our compatriots in Taiwan to the motherland, has important practical significance to promote cross-strait peaceful and reunification process. In view of this, this article is to the study of the exchange and cooperation of the book publishing history on both sides, current situation and existing problems, analyzes the opportunities and challenges when facing the new situation, and take the cooperation case of book fairs across the Taiwan straits and the Da Long Shu/Long Tu Teng as demonstrated case to study and analysis, further summarizes the general regulation of cross-strait cooperation in the book publishing, and based on this, put forward the strategy and advice to expand the book publishing cooperation in cross-strait.
